Grades for performing music courses are counted toward the Grade Point Average and up to two credits
will be counted as electives toward graduation requirements. Students have the option to take any
band as a Pass/Fail course if they so choose in accordance with the guidelines as stated in the NCHS
Student Handbook. Please refer to the Band Syllabus (given to students at the beginning of
each school year) for more information regarding grading.
We know that YOU and your FAMILY make a significant sacrifice to be in band. Obviously it is
more than "just a class." You bring years of training, passion, and love for music, and we
want to say thank you and welcome!
