Each band student will be assigned an instrument locker. During non-rehearsal hours the only things
that should be stored in these lockers are things needed for band! During rehearsal students should
leave cases in lockers along with books and purses. Lockers should be kept locked whenever you are
not present. Locks left unlocked and hanging from lockers are a good target for pranks, i.e. putting
the lock on another unlocked locker.
Only school locks (available from the school store) may be used on band lockers. These locks have a
master key feature for which the Director has a key. Failure to use the proper lock will result in
locks being cut off of lockers.
Remember that:
THE SECURITY OF YOUR LOCKER IS ONLY AS GOOD AS YOU MAKE IT. IF YOU SHARE YOUR COMBINATION
WITH OTHERS, YOU HAVE LOST YOUR SECURITY.
These lockers are not meant to be your secondary school locker for coats and books. They are only
for band use. Students that cannot adhere to these guidelines will have locker privileges suspended
and/or revoked. The school is not responsible for theft or vandalism due to neglect or failure to
lock lockers.
