Concert Band is the entry-level curricular band class at Central. This class is an excellent
opportunity for students to improve in the basics of tone, rhythm, scales and technique. This band
performs at concerts throughout the year and placement is open to all students who perform a musical
band instrument at Naperville Central. Private study and chamber ensembles are encouraged for
students that have the desire to move into a more advanced band. This ensemble is under the
direction of Mr. Silder.
All curricular band students are Naperville Central have a Community Service/School Spirit requirement. They must attend four indoor (basketball) pep band events and must march in the Memorial Day Parade.

Front pleated wing collar tuxedo shirt*
Black trousers (no denim or "jeans" material)
Black socks and shoes (no athletic shoes)
Black bow tie*
Ladies:

Long black ankle-length skirt
