Symphonic Band

Symphonic Band is the third level of curricular bands. This ensemble is under the direction of Mr. Alstadt. It incorporates students who have a good foundation in their major scales and a desire to improve. Students are encouraged to study privately and actively participate in the chamber ensembles.

This group performs at concerts throughout the year and selection (as for all of our curricular groups) is by audition.

All curricular band students are Naperville Central have a Community Service/School Spirit requirement. They must attend four indoor (basketball) pep band events and must march in the Memorial Day Parade.

Concert Attire

Gentlemen:
Front pleated wing collar tuxedo shirt*
Black trousers (no denim or "jeans" material)
Black socks and shoes (no athletic shoes)
Black bow tie*

Ladies:
Front pleated wing collar tuxedo shirt*
Long black ankle-length skirt
Black stockings and shoes
Black bow tie*
