Marie Bennett

Marie Bennett An active freelancer and recitalist in the Chicago area, Marie Bennett holds a Bachelor of Music from Northwestern University and a Master of Music from DePaul University. She has performed with many regional and international orchestras including the Orquesta Sinfonica in Monterrey, Mexico, the Illinois Symphony, Rockford Symphony and Concertante di Chicago.

Marie is a member of the Seraphim Trio, a flute, harp and cello ensemble that regularly presents recitals throughout the Midwest.

Marie can also be heard playing flute and Irish whistle on recordings from GIA music publishers, has made several appearances on live radio, and regularly presents recitals throughout the Chicago area. She has performed at Symphony Center, the Chicago Cultural Center, the Art Institute of Chicago, the Shedd Aquarium, the Chicago Historical Society, and many libraries and recital halls.

Marie is Adjunct Professor of Flute at North Central College in Naperville, Illinois, where she teaches private lessons and directs the flute ensembles, and maintains a private teaching studio in her home.
